BEHIND THE MUSIC AND MIXING OF JOHNATHON

Johnathon started performing live at 5 years old, writing songs at the age of seventeen, and composing/producing for TV at 35. Johnathan grew up in a musical family but it wasn’t until he was in his teens, sitting at an upright piano one cold winter night in an old creaky church building that it hit him, that writing music was what he wanted to do with his life. He now produces Edm, Hip Hop, Country, and orchestral music for film and TV with an occasional songwriting endeavor into the Country Music scene. Johnathan approaches his sound, the mix, and each track based on the needs of the film or artist. He lets the scene or the song tell him where to go directionally. He grew up listening to all types of music but some of his influences are, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Timberland, John Williams, and Armon Van Buren. Johnathon has his Bachelors of Science degree in Music Production from Full Sail University and graduated with high honors and the prestigious Advanced Achievement award. Johnathon has over 40 tracks signed with publishing libraries that he composed and mixed for TV and Film. Johnathon also mixes projects as a freelance audio engineer.
